Call your Senators Today
–
Tell Them to Protect the Organic Farm Bill Provisions
and
Support the Dorgan-Grassley Payment Limitations Amendment
The Senate began debating the Farm Bill on Monday,
Nov 5th. We must maintain the grassroots push
to protect the Bill’s strong organic provisions
and to pass the Dorgan-Grassley Payment Limitations
Amendment, which will be considered by the Senate any
day now. The Dorgan-Grassley Amendment provides
much needed Farm Bill reform by capping commodity payments
at $250,000 per farm and shifting the savings to sustainable
agriculture, organic, anti-hunger, and conservation
programs. (See our last
alert for more background info.)
Please call your Senators TODAY and urge them
to support:
• The Dorgan Grassley Payment Limitations Amendment.
• The Organic Provisions in the Farm Bill.
