Farm Conservation is in Jeopardy

CALL YOUR SENATORS TUESDAY JUNE 28

Ask Them to Defend Farm Bill Conservation Programs in Budget Negotiations

TODAY is a National Day of Action to protest the huge cuts to farm bill conservation programs that were recently passed by the House of Representatives.  Your Senator needs to hear from you that the federal budget shouldn't be balanced at the expense of organic family farmers and farmland conservation.

Please call (202) 224-3121 TODAY to be connected to the Capitol Switchboard and ask for your Senator (remember to contact both of your Senators).

  • If you’re an organic/family farmer, please mention that.
  • Tell them the Senate needs to protect conservation programs which help organic family farmers, such as the Conservation Stewardship Program, Environmental Quality Incentives Program, and Wetlands Reserve Program.
  • The Senate budget negotiations should defend programs that promote organic family farm conservation.

Please join us in calling the Senate today, Tuesday, June 28 to ensure a healthy future for organic farms and the environment!

Thank you!
