A Midsummer's Eve Organic Benefit Reception
Thursday, June 21, 2007 6:00~9:00 pm Pastures of Plenty Farm Longmont, Colorado
$75 per person
Local farmers and food lovers were joined this year by attendees of the first national Organic Summit at our 4th annual Colorado event. The result was nearly 220 organic leaders and OFRF supporters sharing a lively evening at Sylvia Tawse & Lyle Davis's beautiful Pastures of Plenty Farm.
OFRF Executive Director Bob Scowcroft and Board president Steve Ela of Ela Family Farms in Hotchkiss, CO, provided an update on OFRF. They were joined by Colorado Commissioner of Agriculture John Stulp, who welcomed the group and offered his support for the growth of organic farming.
Lyle and Big Bang Catering once again presented a tasty buffet of local and organic fare, including entrees fresh from the grill and produce from the surrounding farm. OFRF is grateful to Sylvia, Lyle, John Howlett and everyone at the Fresh Ideas Group and Big Bang for making this annual outing such a fun, delicious and successful one.
