Breeding hardy, nutritious native corn varieties is Dave Christensen's life’s work. With support from OFRF, he is collaborating with leading organic seed breeders to introduce natural resistance to a major pest, the European corn borer, into his Painted Mountain seed lines.

Dave's moving presentation at the Organic Farming Research Foundation's "Meet and Greet" Luncheon in Anaheim, California on March 5, 2009 drew a standing ovation from those in the audience.

In the audio clip, Dave is introduced by Bob Scowcroft, OFRF's Executive Director.
