Farmers Sought for Farm Service Agency County Committees

Category:

June 24, 2015 - Are you a beginning or small-scale farmer? Are you producing for organic or local markets? Do you work for an organization that represents any of these producer types?

The USDA is hosting a conference call on Monday to provide information about joining with nearly 8,000 farmers and ranchers nationwide to serve on your local Farm Service Agency (FSA) County Committee. Local FSAs keep the USDA informed about local farming needs and priorities, and OFRF and the National Sustainable Agriculture Coalition urges small organic farmers to get involved and help make our voices heard.

The conference call takes place Monday, June 29th at 3 p.m. The conference call number is 888-844-9904, and the Participant Code is 4804675. There is no cost to participate, and no reservation needed.
