Amy Bodiker Appointed as Interim Executive Director at Organic Farming Research Foundation

Santa Cruz, CA (March 4, 2014)

The Organic Farming Research Foundation (OFRF) Board of Directors announced today the appointment of Amy Bodiker as its interim executive director.  Bodiker will provide organizational leadership as the board concludes a national search for a permanent executive director, who will likely be named later this spring.
“The board is pleased to have Amy involved again at OFRF,” said Board Chair Deirdre Birmingham.  Bodiker knows the organization, having served as interim development director for OFRF in 2010-11.  “She will provide continuity in OFRF’s work to promote the widespread improvement and adoption of organic farming systems.  She also brings important management and organizational skills that will help our new executive director start successfully,” Birmingham added.
Bodiker is a seasoned leader in the good food movement, with more than 15 years experience in nonprofit management and a rich background with organizations that promote sustainable food and farming.  Since 2009, Bodiker has operated her own consulting business, providing governance and development counsel to environmental, health and education organizations across the country.
Founded in 1990, OFRF is a leading champion of American organic family farmers.  The organization advocates for organic research, education, and federal policy that will bring more farmers and acreage into organic production.  More information about OFRF’s work is available at
