SUMMARY:Southern Organic Producer Listening Session #1
DESCRIPTION:The Organic Farming Research Foundation (OFRF) has partnered with Florida Organic Growers (FOG) to make sure Southern farmer voices are heard. That’s why we’re hosting two small-group virtual listening sessions specifically for organic and transitioning farmers in the South\, including Puerto Rico. \nWe’ll talk about your production challenges\, what resources would actually help\, and how you like to access information. Your input will directly shape future programs\, resources\, and federal advocacy for organic agriculture. \nAll participating growers will be compensated $100 for their time. \nSessions are open to all certified organic\, transitioning\, or organic-method farmers in the Southern states of Alabama\, Florida\, Georgia\, Louisiana\, Mississippi\, North Carolina\, South Carolina\, and Puerto Rico — all cropping systems and animal agriculture welcome. \nEvent Details: \n\nJoin one of two offered sessions:\n\nSession 1: Thursday\, May 21\, at 11:00 AM ET\nSession 2: Wednesday\, May 27\, at 12:00 PM ET\n\n\n90-minute Zoom session\nSmall group conversation\nRecorded for note-taking only so your comments stay anonymous\n\nPlease register for the time that is most convenient for you using the form below. \nIf you would like to participate in one of the listening sessions:\nPlease fill out the interest form below.
