OFRF at 30th Annual MOSES Organic Farming Conference

OFRF is presenting and exhibiting at the upcoming 30th Annual MOSES Organic Farming Conference Feb. 21-23, 2019 in La Crosse, Wisconsin. More than 3,000 people are expected to gather at the conference, which features 60 workshops spanning farming topics for beginning to experienced farmers. Nine in-depth courses take place the Thursday prior to the conference in the trademark Organic University.

OFRF’s Policy Associate, Michael Stein and Harriet Behar of Sweet Springs Farm will present a workshop on how crop insurance can provide a safety net for farm businesses. They’ll explain the coverage options and offer advice on working with crop insurance agents and processing claims. Attendees will receive a printed copy of OFRF’s newly released guidebook, “Introduction to Crop Insurance for Organic and Transitioning Producers.”
