OFRF Presents Research Results in Washington, D.C.

Diana Jerkins, Research Program Director at OFRF, presented the results of our National Organic Research Agenda at the Organic Confluences Summit on May 23rd in Washington, D.C. The conference was put on by the Organic Center and was the first of many events taking place during Organic Week.

At the conference, scientific experts, farmers, policy makers, and organic stakeholders met to hear the latest organic agriculture research and create a framework for connecting sustainable policy decisions with this research.

Throughout the week, OFRF staff will be meeting with the USDA organic working group, visiting with legislators, and meeting with members of the organic industry. At the Organic Trade Association (OTA) Policy Conference on Wednesday, May 25, OFRF presented findings from their recent analysis of organic agriculture research, education and extension projects funded by the USDA. They also made recommendations for future investment to support the growth and success of organic farmers.
