OFRF at Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association (MOFGA) Common Ground Country Fair

The Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association Common Ground Country Fair, held in Unity, Maine, is an annual rural living and agricultural celebration. It features over 1,000 exhibitors and speakers, with a focus on sustainable living, local economies, and organic agriculture. Catch Gordon Merrick, OFRF’s Policy Program Director, and Rebecca Champagne, OFRF’s Conservation Scientist, at the fair this year. They’ll have a booth set up all weekend to provide farmers and other fair participants the opportunity to discuss pertinent issues facing the organic agriculture community, such as research and resource needs. They will also provide information for folks to learn about the ways that OFRF can help farmers and the research community. Given the current federal funding issues, they will also provide a space for farmers to tell their first-hand experiences with federal funding/funding freezes.
