OAK’s 14th Annual Organic Farming Conference, Grounded in Organics: From Soil to Market, takes place January 23-25, 2025, at Kentucky State University’s Harold R. Benson Research and Demonstration Farm in Frankfort, Kentucky.
Brian Geier of OFRF and Maggie Dungan of Salad Days Farm in Versailles, Kentucky, will present “Farmer-Led Trials: How to Plan, Conduct, and Fund On-Farm Research” from 10:30-11:45 am ET on Friday, January 24th.
The session will introduce OFRF’s comprehensive “Farmers Guide to Conducting On-Farm Research,” our Farmer-Led Trials (FLT) program, and the forthcoming Organic Research Hub. Maggie will share her firsthand experience as a participating farmer in the FLT program, researching the effects of soil solarization on soil health.
